Virtual Design Appointments
For Your New Home, From Your Current Home
Being stuck at home doesn’t mean you need to be stuck in your new home’s design process! Keep the process moving through virtual design appointments! Thanks to digital tools like virtual home and Design Studio tours, Zoom video-conferencing, design rendering apps, and email, you can still shop our samples, gather style inspiration, and make preliminary selections and decisions with our Designer. Here are ourTop 5 ways to keep the ball rolling and prepare for your in-person meeting in our Design Studio:
1. Meet Our Designer
If you haven’t already met Katherine in a Preview Appointment, say hi however you want! Whether you meet via email introduction by your New Home Specialist, through a phone call, FaceTime, or Zoom video meeting, she’s just happy to meet you and learn more about your design dreams and goals for your new home!
2. Learn, Prioritize, & Strategize
Our designer will want to hear if you have a general color palette in mind, a specific kitchen vision, functional flooring preferences for your dogs and kiddos, and more. If it’s important to you, it’s important to Katherine! She’ll be able to tailor a game plan that works best for your needs, lifestyle, communication preferences, and general remote abilities.
3. Review Your Floor Plans
It’s helpful to walk through your specific home’s floor plans with our designer prior to making any preliminary design selections. Whether via Zoom or over a phone call, Katherine will familiarize you with your home and any options noted on your plans that may have already been included in your agreement of sale. From flooring types per room, to recessed light locations, to that soaking tub in your Owner's Bathroom, you’ll walk through and note each room’s unique elements with her, be able to ask questions or share “wishlist items” along the way. You can even place your included cable & phone jacks during this step!
4. Play Around with Exterior Colors
We encourage you to utilize our online Exterior Design App to envision how you want your home to look from the outside! Another great way to understand how the colors translate “in real life” is by sharing with Katherine which photos you may have taken while driving through our communities or scrolling through our Exterior Photos Library.
5. Shop the Samples
Curious about our included hardwood flooring? Variety of cabinetry options? Want to peruse tile collections? Our designer can share snapshots of our Design Studio’s samples you’re interested in so you can simply get familiar with our offering or even make selections if you feel comfortable!
Sure, colors translate best in person, but virtual meetings are a good alternative in the meantime. We’ll never pressure you to sign off on your Design Selections without seeing them in person! These virtual tools are available to have fun, help inspire, familiarize yourself with our materials and styles, and narrow down options to make the most of your time in the Studio. Inspiration is everywhere, and we want to remind you that Team Tuskes is here to help build your dream home every step of the way!
